Cultivating Good.

March 7th, 2009

People carry different levels of good within themselves. Some may have a minimal amount and some may have a lot of it. The fact is, everyone has it and everyone can increase or decrease their amount. The reason we should increase it is so we can improve ourselves, those around us, our future generations and our world’s future. Through positive learning, influence and being in good environments, people can absorb the right information to build or rebuild themselves. Then, it can be transferred out to benefit all. This is what our world will always need, especially in these times we are facing. So let’s chase, cultivate and support the things we would like to help improve. Grow Good!

Optimizing Nutritional Intake for Health

March 4th, 2009

We can improve our health by consuming the right amount of nutrients. The proper combinational intake of fats, carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, minerals, fibers, antioxidants, phytonutrients, water and oxygen can help us prevent and treat many physical and mental health problems. It’s important to consume the right moderation and to eat (or juice) a variety of organic, raw, and fresh foods on a daily basis. Of course everyone’s body is different, so we should consult with a dietician or health professional to manage our intake. While many of us may have been programmed to desire the consumption of unhealthy foods and liquids, we should try to eliminate or minimize these from our diet. It can be a fun challenge to do so and once we are on the right track, it will be hard to go back. Let’s get started!

Keep Smiling

March 2nd, 2009

There are numerous benefits in Smiling. When we smile, we are releasing many natural chemicals within our bodies that give us a sense of euphoria. These chemicals can help us relax, feel good, become more alert and even increase our confidence. It’s natural medicine and scientific evidence has proven that smiling can reduce blood pressure and strengthen our immune system. A great thing about smiling is that it helps us radiate postive energy, which can uplift those around us. It is something we all need now, so let’s all go out there and spread the smiles! Peace!

Reaching the End of the Tunnel

February 27th, 2009

Many of us are experiencing mild to catastrophic effects from the worlds recent economic turmoil. Threats to the value and possession of our finances, living arrangements, careers, businesses and dreams have been challenging to most. This is just a part of reality and unfortunately we have to face these conditions. We don’t know what the future holds for this year and the following years, but we should know that there is always light at the end of the tunnel. It is during these times that we must reevaluate ourselves and our environment, then take action to make our futures brighter. Hopefully we will discover better ways to improve our lifestyles and how we support and contribute to society. It might be in our interests to use these challenges to rebuild social and corporate infrastructures so we can ensure that our lives are in better hands. Also, let this be a time of finding new opportunities and pursuits that will better the world. Let’s keep moving forward toward the good things that lay ahead of us at the end of the tunnel.

Good Music

February 24th, 2009

Gotta love GOOD music! Just came across this video clip of Rudy remaking the instrumental of Common’s song, “The People”, on his MPC. The instrumental was produced by Kanye West and Rudy made it look real easy to make. Gotta love sampling! Check it out below, then check out the music video:

Leading Others in the Right Direction

February 20th, 2009

Working on improving our lifestyle can be rewarding, but working to influence others around us to do the same can be rewarding for all. Having good influence requires setting good examples and managing our actions. In general, we must live in a positive manner if we want others to do the same. Most people are drawn by those who are good leaders, so having good leadership traits will help. Additionally, it is important that we maintain a positive outlook and to do the right things. It can sometimes be challenging, but making the effort can make a big difference on who we are influencing. If all things work out, hopefully we will see a domino effect that will lead to a better environment for all.

Enter the Good

February 18th, 2009

For many of us, the path to living a greater life begins with making the decision to reorganize. Thinking about the quality of life we would like to live and how we can improve our lifestyle is a good start. We can begin by meditating on ways to improve our health, careers, relationships, finances, education, time management, thoughts, habits, etc. Then, we can prioritize a list of goals to achieve and take action to complete them. Finally, we can delete and celebrate what we’ve accomplished from our list and continously add more because life improvement never stops. Good luck!
